ARROJO - Classic Cutting with Nick Arrojo
Learn More About the Educator
Nick Arrojo began his career in beauty at Vidal Sassoon in his hometown of Manchester, England, and, after completing the company’s training program at 21, was appointed their youngest-ever assistant creative director. Soon after, Arrojo became a household name as he graced the nation’s TV screens as the much-adored hair stylist and makeover mastermind on TLC’s What Not to Wear. He continues to cut, style, educate and share his passion for the industry through his Arrojo Studio in Manhattan, his product line and educational team. “The key to success is to have strong focus, plenty of ambition and strive to be better and better every day,” he says.
A Vidal Sassoon Creative Director by the age of 21, Nick Arrojo chose to teach the full first week of Boot Camp to re-emphasize the importance, and beauty, of technically precise lines, layers and graduations.
The classic art of the scissor cut comes into sharp focus with Nick Arrojo teaching all five days of Boot Camp Week 1, Aug 4-8 at ARROJO Academy NYC. In this hands-on class, attendees will learn timeless haircutting skills based on precision and creativity from Nick Arrojo’s unyielding craftsmanship. Over the 5 days, attendees will practice scissor cutting lines, layers and graduations in mannequin workshops supervised by Nick Arrojo. By mastering these geometric yet organic shapes, attendees build upon their technical foundation, leading to a greater creative repertoire.
